A working organic beef and grassland farm offering practical field testing for livestock technology, climate-resilient crops, soil and water management, agroforestry, habitat restoration, and remotely operated or autonomous agricultural machinery.
Bouriech offers manufacturers, agritech developers, seed companies, research partners and land-management organisations access to genuine commercial farming conditions. We can host small pilots, development trials and longer seasonal evaluations, with practical farmer feedback throughout.
Tracking collars, geofencing, connectivity, sensors, solar charging, electronic identification, cameras and livestock-management platforms.
Testing species, mixtures, establishment systems and management techniques against heat, drought, persistent drying and irregular rainfall.
Practical evaluation of cover crops, rooting strategies, reduced disturbance, organic amendments, ground cover and other approaches intended to improve soil structure and retain water.
Trials involving trees, hedges, woodland edges, shelter, shade, erosion control, habitat connectivity and carefully managed land clearance to create more diverse and resilient landscapes.
Our cattle move through pasture, woodland and seasonal mountain grazing. That creates a strong environment for testing GPS acquisition, mobile coverage, battery life, attachment durability and software behaviour over time.

Our conditions combine wet winter soils with increasingly dry summers and highly variable fields. This makes the farm useful for testing forage and crop options designed to cope with prolonged drying, heat stress and limited available water.
We are interested in field-scale approaches that improve resilience while keeping land productive. Trials can combine livestock, trees, hedges, water, soil protection and habitat management rather than treating each element in isolation.
Tree and hedge integration, shade and shelter for livestock, wind protection, browse, landscape connectivity and long-term productive use.
Selective scrub and woodland-edge management to restore open areas, create habitat diversity, reduce abandonment and support appropriate wildlife recovery or reintroduction projects where authorised.
Testing how contour features, vegetation, tree cover, wet areas, ponds and soil-management choices can slow runoff, improve infiltration and hold water within the landscape.
The farm includes pasture, tracks, woodland edges, uneven surfaces and steep ground. We are open to testing remotely operated and automated equipment where the project and safety arrangements are appropriate.

Our farming experience reaches back to the 1980s and includes dairy and beef production, forage and crop establishment, pasture management, machinery operation and repair, and the continual adaptation that comes with farming difficult land.
Decades of practical livestock and land management provide context that raw sensor data alone cannot provide.
Day-to-day work includes machinery diagnosis and repair, hydraulics, fabrication, electronics, power systems and practical problem-solving.
We are comfortable working with GPS, mobile data, telemetry and software, but evaluate them from the perspective of the person who must rely on them every day.
Across the wider farming operation we can offer a broad range of working environments, allowing products and techniques to be tested under conditions that change significantly over relatively short distances.
We agree the objectives, equipment or treatments, trial area, duration, observations and reporting before work begins. Projects can be purely developmental or can support pre-market evaluation and French market entry.
Small-scale installation or plot work to establish whether a concept functions in real farm conditions.
Enough time to expose reliability, persistence, battery, software, establishment or management issues.
For technologies, crops or land-management approaches where performance needs to be understood over weather and seasonal cycles.
Reporting can include structured observations, incident logs, photographs, video and agreed measurements. Instrumented scientific measurements can be incorporated where suitable equipment and protocols are supplied or agreed.

Send us a short description of the product, crop, technique or project; what you want to learn; and the likely duration. We can then suggest a practical trial format and quotation.
